Advantages And Disadvantages Of Renewable Energy Essay

Currently, the United States and many other countries rely on a fossil fuel based economy to provide energy sources for transportation, electronics, heat, and many other products. Gasoline and diesel are two products that are used to fuel our automobiles, trains, and airplanes. Also, resources such as oil, coal, and natural gas are used by power plants for fuel. If the supply of these fossil fuels ever become depleted, the country would completely collapse and we would have no source of energy. People rely on these fossil fuels for energy and once they become a limited supply or depleted, we have no source of energy. The only way energy could be generated is if people switch over to renewable resources. These renewable resources can quickly replenish themselves and they can be used over and over again. They are a very important aspect of sustainability and will help maintain a cleaner environment. There are many advantages and disadvantages that are included when witching to renewabl e energy, but eventually the advantages will outweigh the disadvantages especially if our fossil fuels become depleted and we have no other source of energy with the exception of renewable resources.
